Campagnolo Pro-Fit Pedals: Does anyone have experience using this line of pedals (Record, Chorus, Centaur)?
Have an opinion on the quality of these pedals Campy? Some commentators can not bear (grinding noise), and others love and say they are the best thing that has rolled. Do you think these are the pedals of the quality and value of the high price tags? Your opinions are qualified appreciated.
My bike was registered with the SPD Ultegra SL cranks bolted to them. I have Shimano cleats on the shoes when I bought the new bike with Record. I test, it was with "good" record of pedals with shoes provided. No difference in pedal while pedaling. Separation slight difference (can be controlled) and had to look down to engage the first time in years. Probably because it was very familiar with Shimano pedals were more ... hmm, like your favorite pair of jeans. I bought a new set of Ultegra pedals of this bike - new to the width of the platform. They are great. At least a hundred dollars less than the registry. Since I am only endurance, comfort is everything to me so I went with what felt more comfortable. I let my cranks and pedals argue among themselves about who is better.
